Dr. Jeff Jones is a Fear Free Certified & PennHIP Certified veterinarian.
I decided to become a veterinarian because I love animals.
I can't imagine life without them. Along with my wife Deborah and our children, Jenny and Chris, I attended Texas A&M University. I graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. We went to Dalhart (the coldest place in Texas) and I worked for my uncle in a mixed animal practice and later owned and operated that clinic until we ALL moved to Central Texas in January of 1996. I have been in small-animal-only practice since.
I purchased Harker Heights Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Aycock in 1998 and in May 2001 merged with Country Trails Animal Hospital to form Pet Medical Center. I love what I do! We get to do everything here from keeping pets healthy with preventive medicine, to rebuilding broken bones, to treating critical medical cases and even chemotherapy for cancer. It is the most challenging and rewarding job I can imagine. It's actually too much fun to call it work!
